Silicon carbide is an excellent ceramic material with high-strength properties.
With the features of excellent thermal shock stability, high mechanical strength, and distortion resistance at high temperatures.
SiC pillar( prop or support) is mainly used for supporting the kiln shelves in the temperature
range from 1300℃ to 1400℃ .
Generally, one batt is installed with 3-4 pillars, and the pillars can also be stacked together
for layering in the kiln.
There are mainly two shapes: cubic and I-shape.
1. Excellent thermal stability and distortion at high temperature
2. High bending strength and higher load capacity
3. Good thermal conductivity
4. Excellent thermal shock resistance
5. Excellent corrosion and abrasive resistance
